The Aesop Queer Library 2024

A Vibe Called Tech partnered with Aesop for the second consecutive year on their Queer Library initiative. To kick off Pride Month and launch 2024’s theme of Multiple Margins, which focused on the interplay between queer and racial identity, we were delighted to host a panel discussion with novelist and magazine founder Liv Little, writer Jason Okundaye and artist and author Osman Yousefzada.

The incredible talk saw each panellist describe their journeys through their books and the people, places, and texts that inspire them.

Osman Yousefzada’s memoir The Go-Between tells a coming-of-age story set in a tight-knit immigrant community in 1980s Birmingham; Jason Okundaye’s debut Revolutionary Acts: Love & Brotherhood in Black Gay Britain shares stories from elder Black gay men; and Liv Little’s novel Rosewater follows a young Black woman’s explorations of sexuality and friendship.

The talk is available to listen to here.
